Blastocyst culture is an advanced technique in IVF where embryos are allowed to grow for 5 to 6 days after fertilization, until they reach the blastocyst stage. The procedure involves the following steps:

• Fertilization
  After ovarian stimulation and egg retrieval during an IVF cycle, the collected eggs are combined with sperm in a controlled laboratory environment.
   
• Extended Culture
  Instead of transferring the embryos on day 2 or 3 after fertilization, the embryos are cultured for an extended period—up to Day 5 or 6.
   
• Blastocyst Formation
  Only embryos that reach the blastocyst stage are considered for transfer. Embryos that reach this stage are carefully monitored.
   
• Embryo Transfer
  A high-quality blastocyst is selected for transfer into the woman’s uterus.
   
• Freezing
  Any remaining good-quality blastocysts that are not transferred can be cryopreserved (frozen) for future IVF cycles.
