Indian Medical Visa for International Patients: Medical Visa Duration & Validity
According to the Government of India guidelines, Medical Visa is allowed with 60 days of validity by default. However, according to the new visa policy, the government allows the paper-based medical visa to be extended for up to 180 days. It should be noted that if you entered India on an Indian Tourist Visa or Indian Business Visa and needed medical assistance during your stay in India which was not anticipated in advance, then you do not require a Medical Visa. Also, you do not require a medical visa for just consulting a doctor for any of your conditions. However, for undergoing treatment, a Medical Visa will be required.
