    1998 to 2004 - Head, Department of Pediatric Surgery, Army Hospital (Research and Referral), New Delhi

    • Worked in Army Hospital (Research and Referral), a 720 bedded superspeciality hospital, the premier institute of the Armed Forces. The hospital has a state of the art Special Care Neonatal Surgical Unit.
    • Was the pioneer of Pediatric Laparoscopic Surgery in India. Started Laparoscopy in children in 1998 and had the first paper presented in a National Conference in India at the Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons in 1999 on Laparoscopy for Impalpable Testis.
    • Established the Pediatric Minimally Invasive Surgery Programme in 2001 which became the only hospital in New Delhi where Pediatric Laparoscopy was being done routinely in large volumes.
    • Have trained numerous Pediatric Surgeons, both civilian and of the Armed Forces, in the art of Pediatric Laparoscopy.
    • Recognised teacher for General Surgery in Delhi University since 1999 and actively involved in teaching of postgraduates, nursing and paramedical staff.

     

    1996 to 1998 - Head, Surgical Division, Military Hospital, Ambala Cantt

    • A 600 bedded hospital, the only Military Hospital in Haryana which has a large concentration of troops as well as ex-servicemen Worked as a Pediatric Surgeon as well as doing General Surgery.
    • Was the only surgeon involved in casualty management of the Bomb blast services victims on Jhelum Express at Ambala Cantt Rly Station in Dec 1996.

    • Only surgeon providing surgical cover to a large population of Army, Navy and Air Force personnel over a large area of Gujarat.
