World Hand Hygiene Day was celebrated on 5th May 2023 at Kailash Hospital & Heart Institute, Noida with full gusto. The theme for the year was "Accelerate action together" calling for concerted efforts to promote and practice hand hygiene. This was well highlighted in the presentation by Dr Anil Gurnani, HICC chairperson and group director of critical care who spoke on the importance of hand hygiene in the elimination of infection and antimicrobial resistance.
Events organized were
1. Poster competition on the current theme
2. Hand hygiene competition
3. Rolling trophy for best hand hygiene
The event organized by the HIC team under the guidance of Dr Sonali Jain, group infection control officer was well attended by all.
